"Stress management is the art of claiming your freedom of choice over the physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual aspects of your life." --Kevin R. Miller

Course #2

Taming the Silent Killer: Managing Personal and Workplace Stress

Did you know that stress is costing American businesses and society an estimated $200 billion dollars in stress related illnesses, absenteeism, and loss in productivity? It is affecting individuals, families and virtually every organization. It is indeed a "silent killer." But it can be managed! This fun, informative and interactive workshop is my personal favorite to present because of the great audience involvement. We wear "stress dots," learn how to recognize physiological signs of stress, and practice useful tools and techniques such as deep breathing, mental imagery, relaxation techniques and even sample stress reducing music and relaxing aromas. I will also present ideas on how leaders can reduce and dilute stress in the work environment by using humor, better communications and some valued people skills.

This program is a great keynote presentation for both large and small groups, or is a super break-out session for a conference needing a fun and relaxing yet informative break.

DESIRED OUTCOME
Individuals who have learned how to apply proven techniques and skills for identifying and reducing stress in their lives and in the lives of others.
