Course #8

Turn ‘Em On: Motivating and Empowering Others

Wouldn’t it be great to feel truly motivated in your work and be surrounded by associates who are also motivated and excited to bring their best to the job at hand? How do we, or can we, really "turn people on" in the workplace? Is your workplace enhancing or actually preventing motivation? The ability to intrinsically inspire and motivate others is an essential skill for leaders to master. I deeply believe that each and every worker, in his or her heart, wants to make a powerful lasting contribution in the world. In this workshop, I provide a concrete understanding of motivation along with ideas and tools for motivating and empowering yourself and others. It is an ideal workshop for anyone who wants to be a more positive influence in the lives of others. We will learn various theories of motivation, take a self-scoring test on how motivated we are, and then spend the bulk of the workshop learning how to motivate others through rewards, language, creating and sustaining a unifying vision, and other key skills.

DESIRED OUTCOME
Participants who have learned and applied the key skills of motivating and rewarding others, leading to more productive, creative and satisfied work teams throughout their organizations.
