"The fastest way to drive an employee insane is to give him or her new responsibilities and fail to provide them with the necessary instruction and training to do the job. --Ken Blanchard

Course #9

Toward Powerful Training: Understanding and Facilitating Adult Learning

Jack Welch, the CEO of G.E, said, "If you want to change an organization, change its training." We all know the importance of powerful workplace learning, especially in the fast-changing world of today, But, how many times have you been practically paralyzed in a classroom, workshop or presentation?? Have you ever experienced "death by overhead projector?" Have you ever drooled on yourself or poked your forehead with a pencil while nodding off? I am convinced that we can completely revolutionize this by applying powerful tools and principles of adult learning. I have designed this workshop so that participants not only learn the tools and theories, but can practice them as I model them. This workshop is designed especially for those who are active trainers or teachers of adults in any setting. Participants will learn how to design and execute a premier training program, including how to assess the training needs in their organization, develop a training plan, design training objectives and design and present powerful training. I really roll out the goodie bag in this workshop!!
